Our Programs

(Livelihood Enhancement and Alternate Livelihoods Development program) LEAD program at Subhiksha Agri Foundation (SAF) is dedicated to empowering farmer families to choose an alternate livelihood that aligns with their aspirations and helps them overcome their present circumstances.

It includes training, financial support, and ongoing monitoring to ensure successful transitions.

Remarkably, 90% of these families have successfully risen out of poverty under this program showcasing the effectiveness and impact of the LEAD in transforming lives and fostering sustainable livelihoods.

(Agri-preneur Development Program) ADP encourages, guides, and supports enterprising farmers to innovate and launch agricultural enterprises.

SAF offers comprehensive support, including capacity building, seed funding, mentoring, and marketing assistance.

Through ADP, farmers harness their inner potential to become entrepreneurs, providing employment to fellow villagers and achieving self-reliance.

To ensure sustainability, profits generated are reinvested, allowing SAF to support more farmers and continue its mission of empowerment.

ADP is paving the way for entrepreneurial innovation and collective progress among women farmers.

(Farmers’ Child Empowerment Program) FaCE addresses the vulnerabilities faced by children of farmers who have experienced the tragic loss of a parent due to suicide.

The program's objective is to motivate and boost their confidence to pursue education and employment goals.

SAF provides essential support, including career guidance, and counseling, connecting them to educational and employment opportunities, and equipping them with valuable skills for employment.

This is made possible through collaborations with individuals and organizations specializing in relevant subject areas, ensuring a holistic approach to empowerment.

(Connecting farmer’s family to all the eligible Government and NGO programs) CONNECT, a strategic SAF initiative, recognizes that various governmental, NGO, and corporate initiatives are already in place to support farmers. Instead of duplicating efforts, our objective is to ensure that our farmers gain access to these valuable resources.

We develop a comprehensive knowledge bank of existing support systems and actively connect SAF farmers to eligible programs through guidance, counseling, and capacity building.

This strategic approach not only fosters systemic change but also contributes to the sustainable development of farmer families.

"Subhiksha(SAF) support came at a crucial time for me and my children after my husband's tragic passing in 2021. My husband who is a farmer committed suicide after continuous croploss mounting to a debt of 4 lakhs. SAF provided a buffalo, enabling me to start a dairy business. Now, I earn 5000 rupees monthly from selling milk and through their community meetings, I gained confidence to cultivate my land and re-start agriculture. Thank you, SAF, for empowering us to rebuild our lives."

Savithri

"I am Savithri from Mallepally village, Narayanpet District. My husband passed away in 2021, leaving me with three children. We faced challenges due to failed borewells on our 1.5 acres of land, resulting in debts.

Subhiksha Agri Foundation (SAF) came to our aid six months ago, providing me with a buffalo to start a dairy business. Today, I am grateful to say that I earn 6000 rupees per month by selling milk locally, which covers all our living expenses.

I will forever be indebted to SAF for empowering me to overcome adversity and secure a sustainable livelihood.

Thank you, SAF, for being our guiding light during our darkest days."

Gouda Soundarya
BG Venkatapur, Siddipet District, Telangana (05-04-2024)

"My Name is Gouda Soundarya from BG Venkatapur, Siddipet District. My husband tragically took his life after suffering losses from leased land, leaving us with significant debts. With no land of our own, we faced severe challenges due to crop failures caused by pest attacks.

Subhiksha Agri Foundation (SAF) came into our lives and provided essential support. They equipped me with a high-end sewing machine to continue my tailoring profession, allowing me to earn 500-600 rupees per day compared to my previous earnings of 300 rupees per day.

SAF's impact extended beyond financial assistance. Attending their community meetings boosted my confidence, transforming me from someone who rarely ventured outside her home to someone who can confidently engage with others. Thanks to SAF's ongoing support, I am now planning to establish a boutique in my area, further expanding my livelihood opportunities.

Thank you, SAF, for believing in me and supporting my journey toward a brighter future."
